They had one son, possibly spelled Luie born 23 Mar 1880 in Medina. Clara R. Hill died 19 Nov 1882 and I did not locate father or son again.

I would also appreciate getting clear directions on how to get there. My great-great grandfather, Peter Brown (1824-1909,) is supposedly buried there. His wife, Hannah B. Lytle (1828-1901,) is more than likely interred there as well and three of their children may also be buried there. Peter and Hannah Brown had six children, of which three survived to adulthood. Their eldest surviving child, Elizabeth (1851-1936, married Henry Elisha WALLING,) was my great grandmother. Henry and Elizabeth lie buried next to my grandparents on the Hollingshead lot in the Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, Branch Co., MI. Peter and Hannah Brown's other living children were Frank (1862-1937, married Mary CROCKER) and Minnie Ettie (1874-1932, married Edward JOHNSON.) The others were Fred (their firstborn, died as an infant,) Joseph (1854-1863) and LeGrand (1859-1872.) Any assistance anyone might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated. I have data and photographs to share with my cousins.

He was John P. Walling, born 16 December, 1872 in Medina Co., OH to Henry Elisha and Elizabeth (Brown) Walling. He married Mame in 1892 and died on 27 September, 1894, probably in Medina Co. Family lore has it that he perished from the effects of typhoid fever. I did not know that John and Mame ever had any children! Henry and Elizabeth had eight children. John P. Walling was their eldest. My grandmother, Minnie Hannah Walling Hollingshead (Mrs. Charles W.), was their seventh. Please contact me if you are interested.

The Great Lakes Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists is sponsoring an Advanced Genealogy Discussion Group. The next meeting is on Saturday, March 19, 2005. The purpose of the group is to discuss advanced genealogical methodology as presented in case studies that have appeared in various scholarly genealogical publications. The group meets the third Saturday of the month, starting at 10:00 am, at one of the Akron-Summit County Public Library meeting rooms. The library is located at 60 South High St., Akron, OH. The meetings last about one and one-half hours. *Note due to the Ohio Genealogical Society Conference there will be no discussion group meeting in April.* The discussions are free but pre-registration is required. Any experienced genealogical researcher is welcome to enroll. As a pre-requisite, participants should be familiar with Dr. William M. Litchman's article, "Teaching Analysis, Logic, and the Research Process: A Seminar Approach", from the NGS News Magazine, Nov/Dec 2000, pages 340-343. Each participant is requested to read several times, in advance of the meeting, the article to be discussed at the meeting. The article chosen for the March 19, 2005 discussion appeared in The American Genealogist, July 2004. It is titled "Dilley of Northern Virginia and Ohio, A Proposed Solution Hanging on a Single Word" beginning on page 220.
