I'm looking for these people: HARLEY, Patrick,. James, Thomas, Edward, HURST, William, Sara BRADWAY, Olney, David, Herbert, Ruby .
Vicki, Very interesting! Especially the tombstone pictures. It's great that you found them and they were still standing. Glad you identified where each one was. On your last photo page, you have a picture of a Doctor from Erie County, PA. I believe the town name to be Wattsburg, not Wittsburg. Check the photo again. Best wishes, Elissa Scalise Powell A native of Erie, PA On Mon, 13 Aug 2001 06:16:15 -0400 "Vicki Breeze" <[email protected]> writes: > Dear Medina County Researchers, > > I just updated my homepage and it now includes the pictures from my > great great grandmothers photo album. Good news for those looking for ancestors who worshiped at Zion Lutheran in Valley City. The Medina County Library has located the index to vital records....See the mssg below from Kathy Petras, research librarian, who also shares this rather strange and addictive hobby --------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "Kathy Petras" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Date: Wed, 08 Aug 2001 00:14:51 -0400 Subject: Zion Lutheran Church Index Message-ID: <[email protected]> Dear Shirley, The index to the Zion Lutheran Church was temporarily misplaced yesterday. We have found it and the staff person who contacted you previously should be getting in touch with you regarding your request. Feel free to inform the Medina County Genealogy listserv that the Medina County District Library does, indeed own this resource. Amber: thanks for this great resource. I've copied many of these location descriptions into the notes sections of my gen program. >>>Hi: There was an excellent article in the Brunswick Sun Times last week. It can be found online at http://www.sunnews.com/news/2001/part2/0802/SNAMES.htm It tells of many old locations in the county, and the origin of the names. Many of these names have been lost over the years. I thought this might aid some of you, when digging through old records. Happy Hunting! FYI According to the Medina GenWeb website, the county library has a copy of the vital statistics index for Zion Lutheran Church in Valley City. However, I just received an email from the library stating that the index is not in their collection.
