Surnames: Everett, Mitchell, Davis Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GZB.2ACI/1019.1.2.1.1 Message Board Post: My Thomas Everett is found in Urbana, Champaign Co., Ohio with his wife Hannah (nee Mitchell) and children on both the Federal Censuses for both 1840 and 1850 - his occupation is shown as "Drayman" on the 1850 census. The Thomas Everitt/Everett/Evoritt that married both Jane Sidener and Martha Dunlap relocated to Mercer Co., MO with Martha about 1838/39 according to an email that I received from JHS last year (ref.: "Mercer Co Pioneer Traces", page 295, 414, Gilbert doc 001 6-0002). This is why I believe these two are entirely different men - although they may be related in some way yet to be discovered. Also, I strongly believe that my Thomas Everett (father of Thomas H. and Joseph W.) is related to the Everetts that settled in Wayne Township, Champaign Co. in the early 1800's, but I have yet to verify a link. (Families that settled around these Everetts at that time include Mitchell, Johnson and other names of families that the orphan children were dispersed among in Madison County prior to 1860.)
