He was born in 1819 in Madison Co., Ohio. He had a brother named Henry. I suspect he might be the son of Daniel Wagner, born 1775 and Magdaline Groh, born 1880. There is a record of them in Fairfield Co., Ohio and they had a son named Samuel, but there was no birthdate given. They also had a son named Henry, born in 1825. But, I have not been able to confirm if they are the right family. My GG Grandfather, Samuel Wagner and his brother Henry Wagner ended up in Missouri. Samuel Wagner was killed in the Civil War in Missouri. He married my GG Grandmother, Elmira Hetherly in 1841 in Daviess Co., Missouri. They had nine daughters. If anyone has any information at all on the family of Samuel Wagner, or any information on his family, I would really appreciate anything I can get.
