The History of Madison County. 1883 says Lydia Toops b. November 3, 1808 was the dau. of Henry and Sarah Toops of Pennsylvania. Sorry don't know who Barbara's parent were for sure, but I might bet the girls were sisters. The dates I have for Barbara are b. ca 1801 -- d. November 1874. The Recob brothers, Valentine and Daniel, Jr. were sons of Daniel and Catherine, natives of Pennsylvania. Catherine died in Clinton CO. Daniel died in Mad. Co. Daniel's son Frederick (b. December 13, 1819) m. Susanna Grubb in April 1848. Their daughter, Lucinda Ellen Recob b. 1853 m. Calvin Durflinger. She was my g-g grandmother. Rebecca Grill Chicago
