Local histories suggest some religious controversy involving Calvin Morrell and credit him with establishing a fort or blockhouse on the Miami River. Calvin Morrell may have been the son of Jacob Morrell of Chatham, N.J. who married Rhonda Bonnell 17 May 1781. Does anyone know if Morrell was a doctor of medicine or if the title was relative to some ministry? Thanks, John Morrel
