My GGGrandmother's name was Malissa Ann Betts and she had a sister named Missouri. They both lived in Madison Co. in the mid to late 1800's. Malissa was born Sept. 20, 1848. She married my GGGrandfather Enoch Henry about 1865 in Madison Co., OH. Her mother's name was Sathrona Wells (dau. of James Wells) and her father was a James Betts b. bef. 1827. I wonder if this James Betts was somehow related to your Betts family. Thus far, I have no further information on her father.
