Surnames: Millikin Classification: Cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GZB.2ACI/903 Message Board Post: I saw you posted a note about the Millikin Family in Madison County, OH. The cemetery referred to in the History of Madison County, OH as being ".. and one still lower down the Darby, on James Millikin's farm" is was called the Patterson Cemetery in 1941 when the WPA inventoried veteran graves in Madison County, OH. There is a map of the cemetery in the Madison County courthouse in London. It shows a hog house located in the cemetery at that time. Little wonder only one tombstone was still standing when I visited in 1986. The surnames of the markers I found were Cary, Patterson, Sly and Strictland. In the Big Darby Cemetery you will find: Lot 21: John H. Millikiin: b. 17 Oct 1843; d. 1 Oct 1870 & John W. Millikin: b. 15 June 1869; d. 20 July 1870. Lot 43: Martha Millikan, wife of James Boyd: b. 7 May 1803; d. 1 Dec 1885. Lot 136: Cassius Byron Millikin: s/o John H. & Leonora A. Millikin; b. 4 Oct 1867; d. 26 Nov 1896; aged 29Y 1M 22D In the Finch Cemetery Infant Millikin: d/o James & Rachel Millikin; d. 24 Oct 1843 ____Millikin: s/o Jacob & S.
