She was first married in 1850 to Henry Shaner in Madison County, Ohio. They had three children that I have found. Fanny who married a Scott Smith in 1874, Mary who married a David L. Baker in 1882, and John A. Shaner who married Amelia J. Priddy in Van Wert County, Ohio. On the 1880 census of Madison County I found listed Minor Paine age 44, Anna (which is what Eliza must have called herself)44, John A. Shaner (step-son to Minor Paine), and Mary Shaner (step-daughter to Minor Paine). Henry Shaner must have died somewhere between 1862 and 1868 when Eliza and Minor were married. I only recently found all this out. Do you have any more information on Minor and Eliza? Do you know where they are buried? Anything you could tell me would help so much. There is not alot of information available from out of Madison County.
