    3. Hello, I'm looking for information on a 1920s-1930s repair? business (that I thought had been in the Union Co. side of Plain City - but apparently not) - called BRIGGS or MERCER or BRIGGS-MERCER. I was hoping that someone might have access to old directories and would help me with a time line on my maternal grandfather's employment from 1922 to 193?. According to the 1920 US Census my grandfather, Harold Lee BISHOP b. 1900 in Massachusetts, worked for the "Jewel Tea Company" in Summit County, Akron, Ohio as a "salesman". Apparently while he worked for Jewel Tea he traveled to Union County where in 1922 he married my grandmother, Thelma Gladys INSKEEP and then (may have been) employed by this MERCER? repair shop as a handyman, either full time or on a temporary basis. Also, according to Harold & Thelma's children's mid-1920s birth certificates, Harold Lee's occupation was listed as "garageman". IF such a repair business existed, would someone know if a photo of the business exists? I'd like to obtain a copy of a photo. Also, I'd like to learn the history of this business. Does anyone know where old employee records might be found if they exist? Any tidbit would be greatly appreciated - as all elder family members who would have actual knowledge are deceased. Thank you in advance for your time and any help you might be able to give me. Jacquie (California)
