Hello Bonnie! Thank you for your reply. The John Whiteside that you speak of does not sound familiar to me. I have a John A. Whiteside listed in my book that doesn't have any dates attached to him. He might be the same John. His parents were Andrew (born in 1776 in Ireland) and Nancy (Nannie) Kelley (born in 1780 in Ireland). With your John being born in 1809 it could be possible. But I believe that he was born in Ireland (John A.). the farthest back that I have a John with dates is for a John born 1826 and died 1858). His parents were (Andrew born 1801 near Dungannon Tyronne Co.,Ireland and Mary Wood born 1807 in Ireland). Could you toss out a few more names of Whitesides that you are working on so that I can see if any match mine?! Also could you tell me how you connect to the Whiteside line?! Maybe we are related.
