Chapman for the following interesting statement of the burials attended by him during the year 1879. Mr. Chapman is a practicing undertaker of twenty years' experience, having a thorough knowledge of his business. The burials during each month were as follows: In the month of January, 9; February, 10; March, 8; April, 11; May, 5; June, 16; July, 10; August, 18; September, 10; October, 12; November, 14; December, 21. Total number, 144. Place of death - Union Township, 66; Paint,13; Fairfield, 11; Deercreek, 7; Somerford, 9; Oak Run, 6; Monroe, 4; Stokes, 5; Pleasant, 3; Clark county, 2. Forty-three deaths occurred in London Corporation. Cause of death, as reported - Consumption, 24; diptheria, 25; different lung troubles, 20; paralysis, 4; dropsy, 3; accident, 2; heart disease, 4; apoplexy, 2; erysipelas, 8; typhoid fever, 5; brain fever, 4; flux, 5; diabetes, 3; spinal meningitis, 4; jaundice, 8; cancer, 4; liver trouble, 2; still-born, 8; not reported, 19. Ages at death - Between the ages of 90 and 100, 3; between 60 and 90, 44; between 20 and 50, 28; between 10 and 20, 17; between 1 and 10, 25; under 1 year, 28.
