Dear fellow genealogists: I am still unable to find my husband's George Atherton family, circa mid-to late1800s "someplace in Madison or Franklin Counties." Because I enjoy genealogy and have been doing my own research (usually with much more success than with the Atherton family) I have been thinking of taking the National Genealogical Society's course and applying it (there are some parts to the course where you have to look at land ownership, etc.) to the Franklin/Madison County area. I live in Hamilton COunty, so it really isn't that far for me to travel to your counties...I don't know much about Franklin or Madison counties and that might be part of my problem. Has anyone ever taken this course before? Thank you, Buffy
