    3. I am looking for some history on my great grandmother who passed away in a house fire. She resided in London, OH and it happened sometime in the late thirties, I believe. Her name was Gertrude Killeen and her husband owned a business there in London. Any information on the Killeen family that you can find would be greatly appreciated. 3. Don't know if this will be any help but there was a Dinky Killeen that had a moving and storage business in the 40's and was still there when we moved away in 1950. The business was next to the railroad tracks across from Dwyers hardware. 3. Teresa, There is an obituary for Killeen, Edward L. (Mrs.) in the COLUMBUS DISPATCH, Wednesday, June 11, 1941, page 6A (Columbus Metro Library Online Obituary Database - http://www.columbuslibrary.org/cmlcnix/searchobitform.cfm). You can request the obituary by calling the number on the search page, or you can ask them to email a copy by going to http://www.columbuslibrary.org -- click on "E-mail your question to a librarian." You do not need a library card to use this service. You can only ask for one obituary a day, but you might want to ask them to search for a news article about the fire, too. I'd just wait overnight and send the search request. There are a total of thirteen Killeen obits in the online database. Also, there is a death certificate: KILLEEN, Gertrude Death date: 6/9/1941, Franklin County Certificate #36138 I found that at http://www.ohiohistory.org/dindex/index.cfm ( I imagine she was sent to a hospital in Columbus after the fire as they probably had better burn care than the London hospital. ) You can request a copy of the death certificate and it might give you a better idea of where to look for things.
