    1. Help with the Heath Line in Madison County
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GZB.2ACI/913 Message Board Post: I am searching for the father of Joseph Heath born 11 Aug 1784, near Harpers Ferry Virginia, died 6 Oct 1861 in Ohio. Joseph had four brothers, James Heath born 1777 in Virginia, Zachariah Heath born 1775 or prior, but not earlier than 1766 probably in Virginia, Jonas Heath born between 1784 and 1766 probably in Virginia, and Israel Heath born about 1771 probably in Virginia. Joseph, and James definatly moved to MonroeTownship in Madison County, Ohio around 1814 – 1815. They are both listed in the Census, and the book "The History of Madison County". Jonas was still in Jefferson County, Virginia in 1820 according to Census Records, but is listed as setteling with his brothers in 1815 according to the book "The History of Madison County". Can't quite figure that one out. Zachariah is listed as living beside his brothers in Madison County on the 1820 Census, but not in the book. I haven't found any mention of Zachariah after the 1820 Census. Israel moved to Cabell County, Virginia between around 1809. Then later moved to Madison County. I have found his children living in Madison County during the 1840 Census, and Israel himself there during the 1850 Census. It's not alot to go on, but hopefully there are some source documents out there that could possibly shed some light on this. If you have any information on this family line please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for the name of her husband and any other children she may have had. My Godfrey doesn't carry the 1850 census. I would expect to find at least the following in 1850 census: Eliza Ceslar, PA, age about 37 John age 10 James age 9 Mary age 13 (this Mary is found in 1860, age 23, with a 3 y/o son Thomas, living with Clora Byant/Bryant. 1. purchasing madison Co. cemetery books
    2. I am not going to get to the gen library in Madison Co. for a while so I am thinking of purchasing some of the cemetery books from the gen society. I have their purchasing list from their site. Could someone look up McDorman, Downey, Knott, MeKeenan, Badgley and Swaney to see which books would be of use? I know here in Greene Co. my surnames tend to bunch up in one area and be in those cemeteries. Thank you - Linda Swaney Sabin

No, I don't think I need any more names, I am trying to find the parents of John H. Pennell and at this point later dates would not help. Could you tell if the other Pennell's were buried together as if family? Thanks again!

    2. Mary Anne Britnell
    3. Greetings to my BRITNELL cousins in Ohio. I am conducting a census for BRITNELL hopefully to be complete by March of 2005. During my research in the past fifteen years I have discovered that there are about 4000 of us using the name. This name appears to be going into decline. To avert the total loss of the name, somewhere down the line of time, I am hoping that we can come up with a solution to avoid this. I need your participation. The BRITNELL name has an interesting history and it would be a terrible shame to lose it. I don't much like being an endangered species. For those BRITNELLs who did not receive a census package in the mail please email me here-->mary.anne@shaw.ca OR: write to me at 35 Deerpoint Road, SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2J 6R3 Mary Anne Britnell
