We were told just to sit them on the floor. I said, "No, please find someone to accept these books". Exasperated, she said, Do you want the director"? Yes, please. They have a nice genealogy room but not sure they know the importanace of genealogy.

I believe the Joseph Heath in Madison county was the son of Joseph and Jane Heath. Joseph Heath was in Mason Co, Ky by 1790. He was on the tax roles until 1799. About 1800, he moved to Ross County, Ohio, and then Franklin County, Ohio where he died ca 1820. Also, in Kentucky at the same time were John, Peter, and Samuel Heath. John (my ancestor) remained in Ky. Peter, Samuel and Joseph moved to Ohio when it opened up ca 1800. David Heath, also of Madison County, was Joseph & Jane's son as well. I believe it is possible that John, Samuel, Joseph, and Peter were the sons of John and Mary Heath of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. John Heath stated that 8 of his sons moved to Virginia/Ky. and these names match up-----but, of course, no proof. The other sons were Noah, William, and Andrew. The naming patterns all seem to match up. This family was connected to the Bonham's & some of them were in the Frederick MD area---across from Harper's Ferry. I would very much like to connect "my" John Heath with the family in VA/MD. Before Ky, he was in Fayette County, Pa where he married Margaret Adams, daughter of Robert Adams. Hope I haven't added to the confusion. You can contact me at RPSorys@aol.com Donna

Your Grandmother Marie, according to her birth record, was born Jan 15, 1899. I also made copies of Ruth and Emily's birth record. Ruth born Jan 4, 1896, and Emily born Jan 2, 1902. Do you want copies of her other sister and brother's births also? I'll run up to the library tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning before the grass dries to check on Marie's marriage to Charles to see if it's in Madison Co. I'm not sure what all you have of this family or what all you want. The cost is very reasonable, one quarter a page. Can you let me know what else you want.
