Martha Moreland, dau of Francis Moreland is listed in the household of her father Francis A. Moreland in 1910 census, states that she had been married for 1 yr. and name is Adams. This was a surprise to me, and also I believe to her son, to know that his mother had been married twice. I just sent him a note so I should find out something on this marriage soon. Do you have anything on this? Thanks, Claudia

Abner and Melvina were my great grandparents through their youngest child Geneva born 4/9/04 in Clark county Illinois. Marriage 12/24/1897. Grandmother always told me that all the children were born in Illinois. All of them were brought back to Madison County Oh in spring of 1906 by great uncle socrates comeans and his wife nancy after Melvina died. Abner Partlow stayed and remarried in Clark County. Flossie was put in orphanage; tressie and floyd were "indentured" to as area poultry farmer. My grandmother, and infant, was raised by Socrates. She said she reunited with them as a young girl and frequently saw them at church meetings and county fairs. When she went to columbus to attend nurses training, she was at both sisters weddings; she helped nurse floyd as he died of tb at 25 years old. Tressie died of Influenza during the 20''s. Flossie divorced and remarried, eventually moving to san bernadino ca where she died 24 oct 1954. My mom met Flossie during the late 40's in columbus. hope this helps. kayci

Surnames: Lee Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GZB.2ACI/981.1.1 Message Board Post: Marjean, Curious are you local to Madison Co. records? I just found tonight my Felix Lee md Jemima Wallace in Scioto Co Ohio, 1874, so he was born in Va md in Scioto Co, children born in Pike Co and Fayette Co and all children married in Madison Co. It maybe possible he was related in some way to Alinda, maybe an aunt? I think Felix's father was Gallentine/Gallantine Lee, but no concrete proof yet, who came to Ohio then moved back to Va, WV, think he married twice, second time to his deceased first wife's sister. It has been sometime since I searched the Lee line, but that name Alinda, Alcinda, seems familiar, not sure why, maybe I came across her in my past census searching, I just started with the official records in Madison co. I think Felix had relations in Madison Co., and is why he moved to the area. I am sure his parents were not in the area. After I get done with my volunteer searches, I'll concentrate on the Lee line and see if I can find any answers. feel free to contact me direct at cramsey121@aol.com
