Sorry about that. What I ment to ask was do you have any information on a Thomas being Priscilla's brother, and a David being Priscilla's father? I have that Riggin book that you were talking about, but like you say, it doesn't give much information on David or Thomas. I thought you might have more information. Andrea

----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> I apologize if this message has appeared twice on your list. The first time I tried to send it out. It was sent back. So that is why I have resubmitted it. Please accept my apologies and pass this on to your list list subscribers. Hello listers. I am not a subscriber to all of the Ohio County message boards. I do subscribe to a few of them. Just wanted to pass this on to all who may be researching their family roots in Ohio. http://bohemianancestors.homestead.com/Ohio.html I just updated my Ohio genealogy resources web page. There are links to most all of the 88 counties of Ohio. (Except Montgomery County, need some links for that one) There are also several other state wide resources listed on the page. Please visit as many times as you like. Its always free and gets updated once a week. Also if anyone has any links that they feel may be useful to other researchers. Please email me with the web address for that resource, I'll add it to my page during one of my weekly updates. I usually update my page on Saturday night. So if you have viewed the page in the past and found it to be a little in disarray that's why. Here is the page address: http://bohemianancestors.homestead.com/Ohio.html Happy Hunting to all. I would like to know if the Methodist Episcopal Church of Plain City left behind any records from the mid to late 1800s? And if so, where I might go to see these records? Once again, I am searching for the death of George Atherton or Mary Jane Hixson Atherton. Did the church perhaps have a cemetery? Are there city directories for Plain City? I was able, in the 1900 census, to find mention of Julia Atherton, age 82, at the Madison County Infirmary. Don't know if she was in my husband's family or not. Thank you The Athertons of Cincinnati
Hi, I posted this on Somebody's Links, but thought I would also post it here since the photographer was in Madison County. I found a black and white photograph of Robert and ??cel (looks like Urcel) Bradfield. It was taken by J. F. Wright, Photographer, West Jefferson, Ohio. The picture shows 2 small children standing next to each other. The youngest is standing in a wicker chair. A woman is kneeling behind them - her face is hidden. It looks like she is supporting the youngest one. Will send to family member for purchase price plus postage. S. Wilush ([email protected])

Can anyone tell me where I can find more info about railroads operating in and through Madison County? I am interested in the time period of 1875 to 1900. I have seen the 1895 Rand-McNally map which shows some railroads. I am most interested to know if there were any railroads between London and Midway (also called Sedalia), and also between London and Danville (now called Range).
Posted on: Madison Co. Oh Queries Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Madison?read=622 Surname: Moore, Riggin ------------------------- I do not have definite proof of Priscilla Riggin's parentage. Sharol Riggin in her book "Teage Riggen and his Riggen-Riggin Riggins descendants" offers the hypothesis that she was the daughter of Charles Riggin, Jr. and his wife Rachel Cottingham. Charles died young in 1766 and Rachel remarried. In Charles Riggin, Sr.'s will in 1744 he mentions a granddaughter Priscilla. It seems most probable that Priscilla was definitely from the large Riggin family which started in Somerset County, MD and then spread to Worcester Co., MD and Sussex Co., DE. Actually, they may have stayed put and the land boundaries simply changed around them. However, Sharol Riggin gives Isaac as Priscilla's brother. Could you tell me the evidence of a David Riggin being her brother? Sharol does list him as a possibility in her book. Have you seen a copy of that?
