Hi Estella, Indeed, my Daly's appear on various census forms with the DAILEY spelling. But no family member used that spelling on official documents, leading me to believe that the census takers wrote what they were told by the person interviewed, which may have been a child, or they wrote what they thought should be the spelling. If you're interested, we can share our histories. I'm not saying that it's impossible that we're related. I just know that no one ever used that spelling when it came to "official" documentation. All gravesites have the spelling as DALY. My best, Patricia "Estella C. Hi Patricia, I remember my mother talking about some Webber's from Avon Lake region in Ohio. I don't know if they are the same Webbers. They would have been related an Aunt or Uncle by that name. Schaefer, Mohr, Beumont, Smith, Ward, and Dailey are the Sir-names of my relatives. My great grandfather was Doctor Truman B. Dailey. I don't know if any of these names ring a bell. Sorry Estella, None of the relatives ring a bell with me. I did find Mark Weber, and he's still in Elyria, but none of our Dalys are related, unless he and I have a connection with a GUTHRIE family in Camden. But, if you want to write to Mark with your query, his address is [email protected] My best, Patricia Daly-Zake "Estella C.
