    3. Fellow Subscribers, I am sure that most of you already have several websites available to you, and probably use them at least from time to time, to check on alleged scams/hoaxes/viruses/worms/etc. I know that the two area computer clubs that I belong to, do their utmost to keep members very well informed of such sites. The genealogy web masters also keep us informed. None the less, I have had several well intentioned people send me many sites to check. Please let it be known that I do have many to use. Thank all of you anyway. I am now, and will continue to be very supportive of our genealogy web masters, their guidelines and their decisions regarding any postings that they themselves choose to put on these lists. Those at our local, state and national levels do great work and provide us researchers with a wonderful selfless service. I personally average 25-30 hours per week with genealogy research volunteering and I am NOT even a webmaster. Am hoping to learn some of those skills one day soon. Two of my out-of-state genealogy web lists recently lost their web masters. One to pancreatic cancer at age 57 and the other to a paralyzing stroke. It makes me more aware of how precious these people are to us. A third gen list had their enterprising young person resign as web master, due to much criticism. As I said in my message on Jan. 31st, be kind to your web masters! If you have a concern or comment that might be deemed as overly critical, then email them PRIVATELY. -- Nancy M.
