    3. That is no doubt him as they found him dead on Oct 6, 1900 and the undertaker (a Mr. Couch?) who was also the Mayor of Wellington in 1900 went to Cleveland to pick up the body and bury him. However, I thought he was born in 1843 (census) .. which would have made him 57 .. but, now that I remember, his wife kept stating that he was 'almost 60' .. but he stated he was 29 in 1872 when they married. The middle initial is supposed to be "L" .. I always thought it was James until I read the pension records... the interviewer specifically asked his mother if his middle initial was "L" and she said yes. I always thought he was a "Jr". I am surprised he had a stone as his wife was quite destitute (according to the pension papers) .. but, maybe his mother paid for it. I believe Fred is his brother, John H. Wells, son. I am surprised that his father, Francis J., mother: Ann Hill Wells, and his sister, Minnie are not all buried there.
