I've seen a lot of wonderful responses on this site; so was hoping maybe I'd be able to get some help. I don't live in Ohio anymore and don't have a research place close to me. And I'm at a standstill. Charles Ammon died in 27 April 1937 in Akron. He was the son of Frederick Ammon and Eliza Johnson. Frederick died in Elyria on 28 Nov 1897. Eliza died 18 Aug 1901 in Elyria (her parents Joseph Johnson and Ann Brown). Problems: I haven't been able to locate some proof of their deaths: obit; death certificate; burial record. And I'm not clear on if Frederick and Eliza married in Elyria or if Eliza's parents were there also. Frederick and Eliza had 6 children: Charles, Arthur, Cora, Jay, Josephine (died in Elyria on 18 Aug 1874) and Clara. I have no information on any of the other children. I sure would appreciate any information on this family. Charles wife was Harriet Smith died 20 June 1934 in Akron. Her father was Granville Smith. I have no other information on him or who Harriet's mother was. Thank you, Theresa
