im looking for phone numbers of places to call to get info for a death certicate in 1946. is there any special place to call because the date is so old? its my grandfather, anthony dicello. he is not buried there ,he was shipped back to punxatawney pa and is buried there.i have no other info except his name and date of death,december 24 1946. thank you debby

Debby Birth and Death records from 20 Dec 1908 are found at the Health Department. There are three: Lorain city, Elyria city and Lorain county. You may need to contact all three. Hello, Do you know that for 5 cents - you can get a birth or death NON certified record from the State of Ohio? (from 1945 to the present) State of Ohio Dept of Health Vital Stats. Box 15098 Columbus, Ohio 43215-0098 but if you want it faster than 2 months - better go to the County.
