Thanks for sharing Karen. We were fortunate to be able to renew our wedding vows in the Holy Land in the exact place where Jesus' first miracle took place. Remember the Bible story about when the wedding feast ran out of wine and so Jesus turned water into wine? There were five of us American couples who took part in that awesome ceremony. We were deeply touched. Well, now this makes me wonder, just when did married couples start the custom of renewing their wedding vows here in the US, in addition to the old fashioned anniversary dinner for the whole family. No one in my own family ever renewed vows, but then no one ever seemed to live long enough or stay married long enough to do so. Here in Lorain County there was a Valentine's party at a local nursing home. There were several couples who were married to their sweethearts well over 50 years ago, some even more than 60 years.
