I couldn't agree more, Margaret. AntiVirus software is kind of like home insurance and should be thought of in much the same way. Sooner or later, you're going to need it. And the best time to have it is BEFORE you need it. Where it differs from insurance is in the sense that having this simple piece of $30.00 software can eliminate the possibility of ever acquiring such a virus or of spreading it on to your correspondents (at least in 99.99% of cases).
