Diane, 2 ideas. 1. Lorain casting could have been an affialiate of the ship yard, or steel mills. You could check that route 2. Polks, city directory for that era, remember, it could also have another name. 3. I just thought of something, trade organizations, check the local trade unions . Diane, The Lorain Library has a vertical file. Lots of clipping etc. in alphabetical order. Perhaps they have something. Lorain County Historical Society in Elyria may also have some information in the their library.
