    3. Re St. Mary's of Avon, The Diocese should have copy of these records. However, it would be important to determine in advance which Diocese the church was in for the years you seek. The Cleveland Diocese has a wetsite and full-time archivist, tho I understand the archivist is very slow to respond. Re records from St. Martin of Tours in formerly Liverpool, now Valley City, Medina County. St. Martin's parish covers some of Lorain county): Getting records is nearly a lost cause. I understand that the records are fragile and the office is understaffed. However, apparently the task is not insurmountable. I was lucky to find a member on the Medina list who was able to use his considerable charm to obtain several family recods Wondering if anyone online has had any luck with St. Martin's Also wondering what records others have found in the Catholic Church holdings. I was surprised to receive information from a St. Martin's parish census from the late 1800's. Are there other censuses? Sunday School Records, Members lists etc. Shirley in San Diego On Sat, 20 Aug 2005 06:40:17 -0700 (PDT) Nancy Meyers <[email protected]> writes: > Fellow researchers, > Below is a message, in part, from a fellow that > I helped a bit last year.
