Happy day! Just yesterday was able to add to my personal library some special items from a local yard sale. A 1908 telephone directory publisned by the Black River Telephone Co. If you would like a lookup please contact me off line at [email protected] Be cautioned that this info is for the city of Lorain & outlying areas and was compiled from info available late in 1907. The old system of street names & numbers were still in use at that time. (They changed in 1908) Many, many folks who operated small businesses out of their homes are listed. Also purchased a 1937 Lorain telephone book and a 1989 city directory. Was also able to add a couple of Lorain HS year books to my collection from the 30's. Am always in the marker for these sort of items, if you know of any that might be available please do let me know. Of course, all these items will end up at a genealogy/historical group someday.
