My husband's mother was first married to William H. Smith (Jr.) my husband's father. He never met him. W.H. left before he was born and his brother Bill was only 1 year old. The boys grew up in foster care and my husband took the name of the Schneiders when he was 21 to honor the family from Clarksfield that raised him to be the fine gentleman he is today. I believe that some of his mother's and father's brothers and sisters and their children still live in the area.
