Sande, I understand that he was not an immigrant, and neither were the ones that I found. But the link "immigration" on Ancestry will take you to passenger records. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. The passenger records for the Port of New Orleans showed where in the Canal Zone they had lived, and what their destination in the US was. In my case, they were enroute to the man's mother's house in NY, and it gave the address. It also had the wife's maiden name. It was a bonanza of information for me - birth dates and places, etc. And, if you find his record (he had to get to the US somehow), you might have something to work with.
