My grandmother has been gone for several years, but I always asked questions about the family and never got a straight answer. My father died when I was 13, so when I started researching, I went to my aunt, she gave almost correct information but very limited. (I had a great aunt that lived in Lorain and never knew who she was!). But if you keep trying and trying, you will get the answers. I went from the wrong number of sibling coming to America, to incorrect names and spellings. It took me about three years, but I found the entire family, I had help in Hungary, but I found back to the 1700's. So ... To anyone researching and just can't get anywhere, put it aside and work on someone else, then go back and try again. Something just clicks and you say "well it could be" and then it all fits. I am very proud of my family and I work very hard to find any relative I could to link or double check what I had or thought I had. One of my best resources was the Lorain rootsweb, since they went from Ellis Island to Lorain. They lived and died in Lorain and to this day My Aunts and Uncles still live in Lorain County. It was my great grandparents and my great aunts and uncles that I could not find and most of it was because of misinformation, or general secrecy passed down. DON'T GIVE UP!
