Perhaps this couple buried in the Elmwood Cemetery of Lorain OH are the ones you seek? Wilhelm Schmidt b Germany died at age 58, was buried on Nov. 23, 1904 in lot 17,sect.E, map page 2. In the same lot is an Mrs. Augusta Schmidt, born Germany, died at age 63, was buried on Dec. 3, 1903. These two death certificates would be at the Lorain County Health Dept. on Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria. Hope this helps. Will be offline for a time, getting more shoulder surgery. Nancy M. This could be them, except for their ages. In 1900 William / Wilhelm Schmidt / Smith is born March 1866, and wife born August 1863. This couple in Elmwood could be HIS parents, as the Wilhelm born about 1846 (if 58 in 1904) would have been 20 when he was born, and his wife is shown on the census to be a tad bit older than him. He could have simply married a woman also named Augusta. These folks in Elmwood must be an older couple, as Augusta C. Schmidt born 1863 is still on the census in 1910 and 1920...same kids in 1910..son John in HH in 1920 with her..In 1900 and 1910 they had two daughters, Clara born about 1890 and Florence born about 1892. Do you have info on the Florenc / Florence Schmidt who died January 14, 1914? Tony at Calvary Cemetery said they had her listed over there..I don't have an age. If she was listed as about 20 - 22, that's probably one of the daughters who disappears after 1910. The other daughter, Clara, MAY HAVE married Charles W. Kuntz / Huntz, according to what someone else sent me. Charles was in HH of a Charles E. Kuntz who was very close by to the Schmidt's in 1900..... It's beginning to look like this family has died out totally by 1930...Guess me and my two boys are the only ones out of this family even left.... I'm also going to try to find a John and Matilda Smith on the 1900 census...the closest Smith to my grandfather they've found in Lorain was a William Earl Smith, born October 24, 1889...
