A few weeks ago, I went to Ft Wayne. While I was there I went searching for some passenger lists. Well after a while of searching I found Casper Dute (28 JAN 1827 - 13 APR 1900) and his parents on a ships manifest. If any of the DUTE descendants would like a copy all I need as a SASE and I will get the copies out to you. It will require one stamp postage on the envelope. Its a nice copy! I am having mine framed for my husband for Christmas. I've got a framer who is doing a custom frame job for me! Its just awesome having that in your hand! Karen; How did you find this? Im tearing my hair out, trieng to find my ancestors, to trace some of the girls. The citizenship is located in lorain co.(Elyria) but I dont think It contains only the declariation. I have located no statement of intent, Im at a standstill. Hi Duane, First thing I did was track the ancestors on all the census, Then I took a really good look at the 1900 census which tells you the YEAR that they came. Maybe gives a year, or at least a number. I compare that to children's births, city directories and I come up with a window and I go line by line thru the passenger ships lists. I've found most the my husbands GERMAN lines came in after the harvest was done, usually in the fall, Late August into October. Been very successful this year with that sort of thing. Found both the Krugman's and the Dute's on passenger lists!
