Greetings Mona, I regret to say that I am not aware of any connection to your Mennell or Nichols lines. I have little information on the Holcomb line. My g-g-g-grandmother Amanda Holcomb was born in Ohio abt. 1814. She married William Engle in Lorain County in 1834. She later died in 1889. I am not sure of her parents or siblings. Supposedly, her father was Timothy Holcomb and her mother Betsy Hatch. If you have a Holcomb name, I will try to research it to the Lorain County area. Let me know.
