Received word via mail today that one of the birth certs/records I requested was found. Thought I'd obtain a certified copy of birth as well as copy of the ledger page for files since both exist. I'm trying to pull information together on my maternal ggrandmother's family plus get all birth/death certs gotten & filed. 1. Is the certified copy worth the extra money? What all does a certified copy contain? 2. Cash was requested.... does that mean they'll accept a check or is a money order needed? 3. Since the marriage record (1890 - 1895) and birth records (1889 & 1895)haven't been found in Cuyahoga Co. or Lorain Co. where might I look next? Have thought of Huron Co. and Erie Co. since the family was found in 1900 census in Elyria and 1910 Census in Cleveland where the family remained. Thanx for any assitance as it's greatly appreciated.
