An annual reunion has been established recently for the descendants of Christopher & Anna SIMONSON, pioneer residents of Rochester Twp., who settled on what is now the William MURRAY farm, after having traveled from Massachusetts in a cart drawn by a team of oxen. To the couple were born five children: Lydia, Maria, Ann, Asa, & Lafayette, all of whom married & settled in this vicinity. Mrs. Glen DUTRIDGE and Lyle DAGNAN are grandchildren of Maria. George SIMONSON Sr. and Mrs. Charles LEACH, both of Huntington, are children of Asa, Lafe SIMONSON,of Rochester, is a son of Lafayette SIMONSON. Last Sunday a meeting of the descendants of Lafayette was held at the Lafe SIMONSON home in Rochester. AT that time it was decided to make the reunion an annual affair & to include all the descendants of Christopher & Ann. The first reunion will be held next year at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Ed RINGER, Savannah Lake. Mrs. Lafe SIMONSON is president and Mrs. Elver SEARLES of Camden is secretary-treasurer. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Nancy M.
