Fellow LC Researchers, Please be advised, as of April 15th 2002, that the public (you & I) will no longer be permitted to park in the covered parking deck that is attached to the Lorain County Administration Building in downtown Elyria. Only certain employees will be allowed to park there. So if you want to research wills, deeds, births, deaths, marriages, etc. be prepared to park and walk a distance, whether you use a cane or wheelchair, or even if the weather is inclement. So bring your parking meter coins and umbrella. It was explained to me today, that this will probably be in effect for at least three years or longer. I would rather have paid the .50 per hour parking fee than have to walk. Listen to me grumble :-( At least these are still public records! :-) -- Nancy M.
