Fellow genealogists, We, along with many others, have canceled our holiday trip & reservations. We think it is best to help conserve our nations gas supply and donate what we would have spent to those relief efforts on the gulf coast. Katrina's death toll is rising. ...where will they bury those have lost their lives? Will there have to be mass graves needed? Records all of all kinds have been lost. As a young mother, back in 1956., I buried a new born baby son while living in Kenner LA. At the time, we lived on the New Orleans Airline Highway. His little gravesite, along with thousands of others, is now lost as well. In order for us to "downsize" as we have been planning to do for sometime now, we are having a sale next month, including my duplicate genealogy materials. We decided the procedds will enable us help out a bit more more in the relief efforts. Perhaps others can do this sort of thing as well. As a retired nurse, I can well understand all that has transpired within the walls of the hospitals, clininc & nursing homes.
