My son is another Rita evacuee. He left northeastern Houston at 2:00 am Thursday morning and thought there would be less traffic. No such luck. At 5:00 pm he finally reached Ft. Worth and that was taking back roads most of the afternoon. At 9:00 pm, after 4 hours, he made it to Denton, Texas, north of Dallas and decided to get some sleep. (He's on his way to Stillwater, OK to stay with friends at Oklahoma State). I wonder what our descendants will think when they read about the massive numbers of people who are migrating from the south during the past month? How hard will it be for them to find records of who moved where? How many digital files will survive fifty to 100 years from now? While paper records may get wet or moldy, they can't be deleted by one errant keystroke. Bobbi Sparta, Michigan
