Fellow researchers, Thinking about our ancestors.....when our grandparents and great grandparents had overwhelming problems, neighbors & church friends never hesitated to help in anyway they could. They were great role models. If people's budgets do not allow a monetary donation to the Katrina victims, they can house sit do plant or animal care so that younger healthy active Red Cross Volunteers can go do their part in the Katrina ravaged area. I am glad to be able to help that way also as. I have a couple of younger nurse friends that are also Red Cross volunteers who just needed to be freed up to go with a local Red Cross disaster recovery group. My daughter, in Houston, with 2 small children of her own, can help her church group in relief work this weekend for victims who were bussed there from New Orleans. Our lives do get re-arranged when we least expect it. Thank you Shirley Haas Hulett for letting us know that your family is safe. Peace, Nancy M.
