    1. Re: [OHLORAIN] Palm Sunday Tornado
    2. My Dad (born May 11, 1900) told me that when he was a young man (could have been 1924) he and a friend (sorry, Dad died in 1984 and I don't know if he ever told me the friend's name) were working on a house. The wife and baby were inside and they yelled at her to go to the cellar. After the tornado cleared out, Dad said they checked on the woman and baby...all four were ok. Dad said that he never got over the sight of seeing the chimney lying in the baby crib -- it had crashed through the roof and just filled up the crib. Freaky! After that, whenever a storm or tornado warning was announced, I would always get into a closet away from the fireplace chimney and the furnace flue chimney. Call me paranoid, but it always kept me safe. I lived in a ranch house after he told me (maybe in 1977) and didn't have a basement, so the bathroom closet seemed the safest place to be. I'd take a battery operated radio and a flashlight and a book with me just in case the power went out. I would also pray a lot! Alice
