    3. Hi Ken I believe your village is Htschenhausen in Rheinland-Pfalz Bavaria . I'm sure Rootsweb has a mailing list for that area. It would be helpful if you posted the timeframe of immigration. Depending on the timeframe, they prob arrived in NYC, traveled to Buffalo and took the Erie Canal to Cleveland. Meanwhile, I've found that the Salt Lake Library has both Civil and Church (Catholic) records available for your village. . I've never read German Civil Records so you're on you own there. Hope this Helps, Shirley in San Diego Salt Lake Records are at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp? display=localitydetails&subject=32094&subject_disp=Germany%2C+Bayern%2C+H %C3%BCtschenhausen&columns=*,0,0 Description of the Village: Htschenhausen Germany, Rheinland-Pfalz Latitude 49.4167 Longitude 7.4833 Altitude (feet) 748 Lat (DMS) 49 25' 0N Long (DMS) 7 28' 60E Altitude (meters) 227 Time zone (est) UTC+1(+2DT) Approximate population for 7 km radius from this point: 16064 On Tue, 16 Jan 2007 07:49:20 -0800 "Ken" <kennethgooden@cox.net> writes: > I have been trying to find the location in Germany where Philip came > from for years.
