Hope to see you all there. Bill Frank Morning: "Photo Restoration and Photo Retouching" by Mike Volker Mike will take old photos and bring them back to life, then take a restored photo and begin to retouch fading, spots, mildew, etc., remove a pole coming out of a woman's head and add another tree to the scene. He will show a web site revealing the work that an author's students have performed after reading her book. Mike is very expert in retouching and this will be a very exciting program with many genealogical applications. Mike's demonstrations will be in Photoshop 7 but the principles applied will be available in the popular programs, Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro, so it will be simplified for members owning those programs. Afternoon: "More Retouching" Mike will continue the retouching process, demonstrating on a color photograph of an older female relative, removing wrinkles, melanoma scars and "old-age" spots. He will also show methods of improving images of old documents. -- Sue Strick, Lorain County Coordinator for OHGenWeb Lorain County Genealogy Page, http://home.centurytel.net/lorgen/ L.C.
