You'll need to do a search using at least the last name. You may need to do it with several separate spellings, as I had to with DALY LEY, AILEY, etc. The date does not appear, it is true, but births will be indicated with OBR, then you just copy down OBR and the record numbrer next to it. For example, OBR175, will indicate enough information for the record to be found. It helps if you know the year. In general, the lower the number after the alpha indicator, the older the record. ML means marriage license. You said "around Lorain county". Lorain, Lorain, Oh has its own birth and death records after 1908. So it would be better, if you could specify the city within Lorain County.
