In response to those of you who have never been to an Ohio Genealogical Society Annual Conference before.... It will be held April 18-21 at the Toledo Hilton Hotel. Program includes many of the most outstanding genealogy speakers around the US, including the famous Cyndi Howell of CYNDI's List. Please do visit the OGS website for more information about the class offerings, registration & cost. You do not have to attend each day or even go to the additional expense of the lunches & dinners that are offered at an additional cost. Awards & entertaining programs do take place at the evening dinners. Annual OGS business meeting is usually at one of the lunch times. Select one of several classes during each session. There will be lots of exhibits & vendors featuring a wide variety of genealogical wares. Many County Chapters also have set up tables for their latest publications. Phone 1-419-756-7294 for a conference booklet if you wish. BTW, did you know that OGS is the largest state genealogical group in the US? My,how OGS has grown! At one time I served as Trustee-at-large for OGS and in 1989 was the State Conference Chairman, at Independence that year.Served as Hospitality Chairperson for the 1988 NGS/OGS National Conference in Columbus.
