I enjoyed the information you had to share The information that I had was from general knowledge of the township. My family came to the township about 1900. I remember getting the mail at the post office, behind the train depot Station Rd and the RR. This was behind Kawalski's General Store. The stockade was 1/8 mile south of Rte 82 on Rte 252. This was built during the War of 1812. This is near Columbia Hills Corners. Columbia Center is Columbia West River Rd and Rte 82. There is a Baptist Church, Methodist Church, Fire Station, All 3 schools, township cemetery, and park at this location. I was busing my little knowledge of the community history and a Columbia Township Community Guide. I invite you to contact the Columbia Historical Society for information.
