The Isaac Emery/Lucinda Shaw family moved westward from New York state. Their first three children were born in New York state in 1855, 1859, and 1862. The next child, Burdette Dennis Emery was born in Sheffield, Lorain, Ohio, 21 Nov 1863, but I've never seen it proven. The next child was born in Michigan in Sept.1867, and the others in Wisconsin. I am looking for an uncertified copy of Burdette's birth certificate. If there are no records this far back, how can I prove this date?
