Nancy, It sounds as if you know a lot about the area's history! Do you know what might have happened to the records from the Taylor Funeral Home when it was sold? I had heard that funeral homes never go out of business, really, but are just sold. Do you think that it was Sudro-Curtis that may have ended up with the records, since they were located so close to each other? Thanks. Curtis then returned to work again with Sudro and in 1936 became a full business partner. Sudro died in 1941 & Curtis bought out the Sudro interest in the funeral home business. Harvey Curtis was the son of parents who were originally from LaGrange, namely Carl & Hilda (Hallman) Curtis. Harvey married in 1935 to Miriam Fowl, a daughter or Jay and elizabeth (Spiegelberg) Fowl of Amherst Township. Harvey & Miriam lived at 112 Cedar St. (per my 1952 source).
