Hello Janet, Nice to hear from you. I will answer your easy question first. Rockenseuss is not far from Berneburg in Germany. It is a about a mile or so East by Southeast of Berneburg. I know that there were some Pippert's in Rockenseuss, but at this point have not been able to find a link between them and my family. With Regards to your Anne Pippert and her possible birth being around 1880, that might match up with a child of Conrad Pippert. The reason I say might is I have so far only found a reference to his having a child named Anne in a 1905 rural directory for Lorain Co. She was listed with his widow and his other two children as living on a farm outside of Amherst. Conrad's family has been very difficult to trace, because for some reason he does not show up in the 1880 or 1900 census records and the records that I have access to for births are really difficult to work with. The early birth records were not recorded in a chronological or alphabetical order, but in the order they came in. This requires you to search line by line for the desired birth records and I have had mixed success to date. I cannot tell whether they just did not report the births or whether I have not guessed how the name may have been misspelled yet. If I do find information on Anne and it indicates that she was married to a Kreuck, I will be happy to provide the information to you along with any other information that you are interested in getting for her family and ancestors which I have back to the early 1600's in Germany.
