The death of Shirley leaves only one charter member left of the Wellington Genealogical Group, fka Wellington Genealogical Workshop. Shirley J. Oney ==================================================================== Shirley J. Oney, 76, of Brighton, died Sunday at IHS of Firelands in New London. Born in Wellington, she was a lifelong resident. She was employed as a clerk at the Wellington A&P Grocery Store for 32 years. Ms. Oney attended Brighton Congregational Church. She enjoyed being a member of the local genealogy society and spent many hours studying family history. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Blessing of Brighton, and a nephew, David Blessing of Lorain. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Norton Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington. The Rev. Mathew Incorvaia of Brighton Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
